Our Boys' Secondary School is currently looking for an exceptional Secondary English Teacher preferably with Learning Enhancement experience.
This is a permanent, part-time position offering a.6 load across 4 dayscommencing January ****.

Responsibilities and Requirements
Planning and implementation of a curriculum of teaching programs or courses of study using a range of teaching techniques and materials
Planning, implementing and marking a variety of assessment tasks to monitor students' progress
Implementation of strategies to achieve targets related to student learning outcomes
Maintenance of records of class attendance and recording of student progress
Liaison with students and parents
Implementation of effective student management strategies consistent with the school's behaviour management plan
Attendance at regular staff and curriculum planning meetings
Provide supervision of students during recess, as timetabled
Provide a safe and nurturing environment and develop positive relationships with students,



staff, parents and the wider school community
Differentiate teaching and assessment to support a wide range of learners, including those with specific learning needs, high‐ability students, and students requiring short‐term intervention
About You
Tertiary qualifications in Education (Bachelor degree or higher)
Current VIT registration
Comfort and experience in teaching Secondary level English
High level of attention to detail and empathy, with the ability to adapt to students' needs
A sound understanding of the Child Safe Standards and a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children
