Business Overview: Our venue partner, Zaffi Sydney is a contemporary Lebanese and Middle Eastern restaurant, bar and events venue located in Sydney CBD.
Zaffi combines modern Lebanese cuisine, premium hospitality and a vibrant dining experience, offering lunch, dinner, private events and late-night supper-club experiences.
The venue is known for its flavour-driven Lebanese and Middle Eastern dishes, including mezze, seafood, slow-roasted lamb and sharing-style menus.
Zaffi caters to corporate functions, private celebrations and group dining, providing a dynamic and professional hospitality environment.
They are seeking for a skilled and passionate Chefs to join our kitchen team.
This is a hands-on role focused on the preparation and cooking of a diverse range of Lebanese dishes, blending time-honoured traditions with contemporary flair.
Working under the guidance of senior kitchen staff, you will follow established recipes, maintain consistency, and ensure every plate reflects Zaffi's uncompromising standards of quality, presentation, and taste.
This role is ideal for a chef who is enthusiastic about Lebanese cuisine and thrives in a team-oriented, quick-paced environment.
Location: Little Hunter St, Sydney NSW ****, Australia Salary:
$78,000 - $83,000 AUD Key Responsibilities Prepare and produce menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards, under the direction of the Senior Chef.
Maintain consistency of quality and presentation across all menu items at all service times.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless and timely food service.
Operate commercial kitchen equipment for both à la carte and function service.
Assist Senior Chefs in refining and enhancing current food operations.
Apply effective stock control practices and minimise food wastage.
Adhere to and apply all food safety and hygiene procedures in line with HACCP requirements.
Skills and Experience 1–3 years' experience in a commercial kitchen (essential).
Prior experience in a Lebanese or Middle Eastern restaurant is highly regarded.
Solid knowledge of Lebanese cuisine and traditional cooking techniques.
Proven ability to follow recipes and consistently deliver high-quality, well-presented dishes.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a high-volume kitchen.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to consistency.
Positive, friendly, and enthusiastic attitude.
Well-developed communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
