The Opportunity Working alongside the Clinical Director – Women's Children's Services, you will provide clinical and strategic leadership across Obstetrics and Gynaecology while continuing to deliver specialist care.




You will have the chance to influence the future direction of the service, support workforce and service development, mentor junior doctors and trainees, and contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate medical education.
The established O G service offers: Approximately 1,000 births annually Level 4 maternity service Level 4 neonatal service 8-bed Intensive Care Unit Experienced midwifery workforce and highly regarded Midwifery Group Practice Established antenatal and gynaecology services Gynaecological surgery including laparoscopy and colposcopy RANZCOG-accredited training positions, including FRANZCOG core trainees Advanced Proceduralist trainees Strong teaching and continuing professional development culture Close links with the University of Tasmania Rural Clinical School Approximately 1:5 after-hours on-call roster This is an excellent opportunity for a Consultant who enjoys broad Obstetrics and Gynaecology and wants the autonomy and professional satisfaction of helping shape a regional women's health service.
