The Position A Staff Specialist Radiologist opportunity is available within a major tertiary referral imaging service in Hobart.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the delivery of diagnostic and interventional radiology services across Tasmania, supporting emergency, inpatient and outpatient care.
The role offers exposure to a broad range of imaging modalities including CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy and general radiography, alongside opportunities in interventional radiology.
You will also contribute to: Teaching and supervision of junior doctors and trainees Participation in the on-call roster Quality assurance and peer review activities Service development and continuous improvement initiatives The role combines tertiary-level clinical work with teaching, research and statewide service delivery responsibilities.
The Hospital This position sits within Tasmania's largest tertiary referral health service and principal teaching hospital.
The Medical Imaging Department provides comprehensive diagnostic and interventional radiology services and supports healthcare facilities across the state.
The department includes radiologists, registrars, radiographers, sonographers,



nuclear medicine technologists, nurses and administrative professionals working within a collaborative environment.
Services include: Diagnostic Radiology Interventional Radiology Interventional Neuroradiology CT and MRI Ultrasound Fluoroscopy Nuclear Medicine The department maintains strong links with medical education, specialist training and research, while playing a key role in statewide healthcare delivery.

Essential Criteria Holds specialist registration with AHPRA; or An International Medical Graduate (IMG) who is on the specialist pathway; or An IMG who has recognised overseas specialist qualifications and is assessed as having sufficient experience in the specialty.
