We are seeking a full time, Registered Nurse working within the Medical & Surgical Department. Your role will be to deliver excellence in clinical leadership and provide safety and quality to patients and members of the multidisciplinary team.

As a Gen Med/Surg Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
Adjust specialized medical equipment as needed, as well as interpret and record measurements
Monitor patients’ vitals and report adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner
Answer questions and educate patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care
Led successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes
Collaborate on discharge planning with the healthcare team
Act as a role model for Safe Practice

About You
Current AHPRA Registration
Previous surgical/acute medical and rehabilitation experience required of 2 years or more
Demonstrated professional development
Demonstrated ability to show initiative and work within a team setting
Commitment to Quality Patient Care
Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
Works well independently and within a team
Excellent communication skills
Minimum 2 years’ experience in acute care
