About the role
n
The Senior Allied Health Educator, Communication With Care provides educational leadership and expertise in delivering evidence-based communication skills education and coaching programs that promote person and family-centred care. The role collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to design, evaluate and deliver high-quality education, support train-the-trainer initiatives, and promote effective communication practices across WCHN.

Key duties of the role
n
n
The Senior Allied Health Educator, Communication With Care supports the delivery, evaluation and continuous improvement of evidence-based communication education programs to enhance person-centred care across WCHN.
n
Plan and prepare for faculty growth and development by liaising with key hospital staff and education personnel to identify potential future faculty from within WCHN's multidisciplinary workforce
n
Collaborate with Inter-professional workforce to co-ordinate teaching and learning processes and achieve planned outcomes.
n
Contribute specific expertise to monitor and evaluate research activities to improve allied health practice and service delivery whilst supporting education for all disciplines.
n
Provides educational leadership, mentoring and clinical expertise to support interprofessional learning, positive workplace culture and continuous program improvement across WCHN.

Skills and Experience
n
n
Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification in an allied health discipline which entitles registration with the relevant board (registered professions), or gives eligibility for full membership of the relevant professional Association (self-regulated professions).
n
Minimum 3 years' post-registration clinical experience in paediatric healthcare and multidisciplinary teams.
n
Demonstrated experience in interprofessional education, clinical education program design and facilitation.
n
Advanced skills in communication training, coaching,
simulation-based learning and person-centred care.
n
Knowledge of healthcare quality, safety standards, governance and contemporary education practices.
n
