Casey Medical Centre, established in 1978 in Cranbourne is one of the largest, well respected, privately owned General Practices in the South-East region.

With Thirty GP's between two practices (Cranbourne and Clyde), we are looking for an energetic nurse to join our energetic team. The Cranbourne practice has a six bed treatment room and the Clyde practice has an eight bed treatment room. You will work with a team of dedicated nurses along with a nurse manager to report to at each site. You will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care and support our doctors in delivering exceptional care to our patients.

The successful candidate will undertake all aspects of practice nursing in a friendly, quick-paced workplace with excellent working conditions and be confident in:

Triage

Wound care

Iron Infusions

Assisting with procedures

Immunisations – (National Immunisation Schedule/Travel Imms)

ECG / ABI / Spirometry

Comprehensive Medical Assessments (CMA)

Current CPR Certificate required

Pre-Employment medicals





Health Assessments

Cold Chain management

Infection Control

Ordering of medical supplies & stock rotation

Recalls and reminders

Provision of appropriate information and education to patients

Excellent Computer skills – maintaining clinical data

Past acute nursing experience an advantage

Superior interpersonal skills

The successful candidate will have a strong focus on patient needs, great communication skills and a sound knowledge of general practice nursing. The position will be Monday to Friday. The successful applicant must have the ability to work between both practice locations.

Desirable Skills:

Experience working within General Practice

Experience with Best Practice & AutoMed Software

Experience and understanding of CMA's & Health Assessments

Nurse Immuniser certificate

IV Infusion experience / IV Cannulation certificate
