We are looking for a Group Risk & Compliance Manager to join our Group Risk & Compliance team and play a key role in strengthening risk management, compliance , and assurance across RAC Group, excluding RAC Insurance.
n
Reporting to the Group Chief Risk Officer ; this is a highly collaborative role where you will partner with leaders and risk owners across the organisation to provide trusted advice, challenge , and practical solutions across operational risk, compliance , and governance.
n
You will help the business understand and manage risk within appetite, while contributing to the continued development of RAC's risk management culture and capabilities.

What you will be doing:
n
n
Partnering with business units to provide practical risk, compliance, mitigation , and strategic risk advice.
n
Supporting the continuous improvement of risk and compliance frameworks, policies, standards, processes , and procedures.
n
Helping embed RAC's new risk management system, including risk taxonomy, process mapping, reporting , and guidance.
n
Developing insightful risk dashboards and reporting for risk committees and governance forums.
n
Supporting risk-based compliance monitoring and reviews against legislation and compliance obligations .
n
Conducting assurance reviews across business units and RAC locations.
n
Supporting the ongoing development of a strong risk culture through education, guidance , and engagement across the three lines of defence.
n
Providing trusted advice to risk owners on risk assessment, appetite, controls , and mitigation strategies.
n
Leading oversight of incident management, including triage, investigation, root cause analysis , and assessment of potential breach reporting.
n
Working with Internal Audit and supporting the timely resolution of audit findings.Building robust relationships with Executives, business leaders, auditors, regulators , and other key stakeholders.

What you will bring:
n
n
Tertiary qualifications in a financial or business-related discipline.
n
Demonstrated experience applying risk management frameworks, policies , and principles.
n
A strong understanding of relevant Australian laws, regulations , and standards.
n
Experience with risk management systems and recognised best-practice approaches such as ISO *****.
n
Robust judgement, critical thinking , and decision‐making capability.
n
The ability to navigate complexity, identify emerging risks and translate technical risk requirements into practical business outcomes.
n
Effective communication, influencing , and stakeholder management skills.
n
Excellent organisation and planning skills, with the ability to work autonomously across a diverse workload.
n
A proactive, solutions‐focused approach and a genuine interest in continuously improving risk management.
