Our client is a reputable health insurance provider looking for immediate support within their finance team due to an increased workload.
About the role
This position is a full time 3-month contract role based in the CBD of Melbourne and have a flexible working model (3 Days a week in the office).
Key Responsibilities:
Run end-to-end payroll on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis, ensuring payments are accurate and on time
Calculate earnings, penalties, allowances, bonuses, terminations and other payroll components in line with Awards, EBAs or contracts
Reconcile payroll reports, audit timesheet or rostering data, and investigate discrepancies before finalising pay runs
Manage leave calculations and accruals including annual, personal, long service and parental leave
Process super, PAYG, payroll tax and other statutory deductions accurately and in line with deadlines
Prepare EOFY reconciliations, STP submissions and payment summaries, and support audits as needed
Act as the first point of contact for payroll queries, explaining payslips, deductions and entitlements clearly
About you
At least 2-3 years' experience within Payroll
Experience in financial systems such as Chris21 (not essential but will be well regarded).
A good understanding of modern awards.
High level of attention to detail with proven level of quality and accuracy of work.
Proactive research, analysis and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks in a high volume,



fast paced environment.
True team player.
Intermediate level of Word and Excel.
