To be successful for this role you will have: Experience in building inspections, maintenance assessments, asset condition auditing, or a related field.
Ability to identify defects, deterioration, maintenance requirements and potential risks.
Experience preparing condition assessment reports and supporting documentation.
Strong computer skills and confidence using mobile devices, applications, laptops, tablets and Microsoft Excel.
Solid attention to detail and the ability to work to a structured inspection schedule.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Current C Class Driver License.
Ability to undertake frequent travel throughout Central Queensland, including regular overnight stays.
Relevant trade, technical or building-related qualifications highly regarded.




Experience working within government, social infrastructure, facilities management, or property maintenance environments is highly desirable.
About the Role: This role is similar to carrying out pre-purchase style building inspections, where you will visually assess the condition of properties, identify defects and maintenance requirements, document risks, and prepare detailed inspection reports supported by photographs and asset records.
Key responsibilities include: Conducting site inspections of government buildings and associated assets.
Identifying defects, deterioration, maintenance needs and potential risks.
Preparing condition assessment reports and supporting documentation.
Updating relevant asset and inspection records.
Providing technical input to support maintenance planning and prioritisation.
This is a highly scheduled role where you may complete multiple inspections each day while travelling throughout the region, including locations such as Rockhampton, Mackay, Emerald, Moranbah, Biloela, Barcaldine, Longreach and Winton.
Regular overnight travel is required, and candidates must be comfortable working independently while maintaining professional standards when assessing occupied government housing.
