We’re looking for an experienced barista to join our small, well-run neighbourhood café in Balgowlah Heights on Monday to Friday
This role suits someone who is confident on coffee, calm under pressure, and takes pride in consistency and quality,
About the role
Casual position
around 8am until 1pm
Independent café with a strong regular customer base
You’ll be responsible for running the coffee station during service, maintaining quality through rush periods, and working smoothly with a small team.
What we’re looking for
You’ll be a valuable fit if you:
Have solid barista experience in a busy café
Can dial in, adjust grind, and manage volume
Work cleanly and efficiently during peak periods
Are reliable, punctual, and take ownership of your station
Are comfortable working independently when required
Have valuable communication and a team-first attitude
Experienced and confident with Latte art
This is not a trainee role.
What you’ll be doing
Preparing espresso-based coffee to a consistent standard
Managing milk workflow and service speed during peak periods
Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station
Assisting with opening / closing duties as required
Supporting the wider team during service
Pay & conditions
Paid under the Restaurant Industry Award
Casual rates based on experience (Level 1–3)
Weekend and other penalty rates apply
Staff meals and coffee on shift with an unpaid break of 30min for shifts 5hours+
