Clinical Lead Obstetrics Gynaecology Tasmania | Senior Clinical Leadership | Package up to $671,153 + 12% Super Full-Time | Fixed-Term up to 3 Years | Relocation Support | Excellent Lifestyle The Opportunity Sante Recruitment is seeking an experienced Consultant Obstetrician Gynaecologist to take on a senior clinical leadership position as Clinical Lead Obstetrics Gynaecology within a well-established regional health service in Tasmania.
This is an excellent opportunity to combine senior specialist clinical practice with clinical leadership, education and service development , while enjoying an exceptional work-life balance.
Working alongside the Clinical Director Women s Children s Services , you will provide clinical and strategic leadership across Obstetrics and Gynaecology while remaining actively involved in patient care.
The Role You will contribute to the ongoing development of a comprehensive regional Women's Health service, with responsibilities including: Providing senior specialist Obstetrics Gynaecology services Providing clinical leadership across the O G department Supporting workforce planning, recruitment and service development Mentoring and supervising junior doctors and specialist trainees Contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate medical education Participating in clinical governance, quality improvement and patient safety Supporting the continued development of maternity and gynaecological services Working collaboratively with medical, nursing, midwifery and allied health teams Participating in an approximately 1:5 after-hours on-call roster The O G Service The established service provides an excellent range of clinical and procedural opportunities, including:



Approximately 1,000 births annually Level 4 maternity service Level 4 neonatal service 8-bed Intensive Care Unit Experienced midwifery workforce Highly regarded Midwifery Group Practice Comprehensive antenatal services General and specialist gynaecology Gynaecological surgery including laparoscopy and colposcopy RANZCOG-accredited training positions FRANZCOG Core Trainees Advanced Proceduralist trainees Solid teaching and professional development culture Close links with the University of Tasmania Rural Clinical School This is an ideal role for a Consultant who enjoys broad contemporary Obstetrics Gynaecology and wants the opportunity to influence the future direction of a regional women's health service.
Remuneration Benefits An exceptional remuneration package is available, with total remuneration of up to $671,153 p.a. + 12% superannuation , depending on experience and eligibility.

About You We are seeking an experienced Consultant Obstetrician Gynaecologist with: Specialist qualifications in Obstetrics Gynaecology Broad contemporary O G experience Strong clinical and procedural skills Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills An interest in clinical leadership and service development Commitment to teaching and medical education Specialist registration with AHPRA , or eligibility to obtain specialist registration International Specialists Welcome Applications from suitably qualified International Medical Graduates are encouraged.
In particular, UK, Irish and other internationally trained Consultant Obstetricians Gynaecologists with appropriate specialist qualifications and experience are welcome to enquire regarding eligibility for an Australian specialist registration pathway.
