An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Banking Manager / Team Leader to join a high-performing Finance function and lead a critical banking and reconciliation team.
The Position Reporting to the Head of Treasury, Banking Payables, this leadership role is responsible for managing a team of five, including offshore team members, whilst overseeing the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of banking and balance sheet reconciliation activities.
This position offers a combination of people leadership, financial control, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement, making it an ideal opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking to make a meaningful impact within a complex and dynamic business environment.
Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor and develop a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
Oversee balance sheet reconciliations relating to banking, cash and payment-related accounts.
Ensure reconciliation items are investigated, escalated and resolved within agreed timeframes.
Manage high-volume transaction reconciliations across multiple payment channels.




Investigate and resolve discrepancies between sales, settlement and banking data.
Partner with internal stakeholders to improve controls, processes and operational efficiencies.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, automation opportunities and process enhancements.
Support month-end, audit and compliance requirements through strong financial control practices.
Maintain and enhance reconciliation procedures, controls and documentation.
Skills Experience To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced finance skilled with a strong background in banking operations, financial control, treasury or reconciliations within a complex, high-volume environment.
You will also demonstrate: Proven experience leading or supervising teams.
Strong balance sheet reconciliation expertise.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
A track record of identifying and implementing process improvements.
Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to build credibility across diverse stakeholder groups.
Strong Excel capability and experience working with large datasets.
The ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
