Your Role in Action

Providing technical expertise in the maintenance, operations, installation, commissioning, testing of Western Power telecommunications facilities
n
Champion safety of own work practices and the potential impact they may have on the safety of others
n
Have advanced relevant computing skills to program or diagnose faults in a wide range of Analogue or Digital electronic equipment
n
Diagnose to board level complex electronic faults in a wide range of Telecommunications equipment and Networks
n
Have an advanced understanding of Western Power's Telecommunications Networks and Systems
n
Provide advanced technical expertise in the maintenance, operations, installation, commissioning, testing of Western Power telecommunications facilities
n
Assist with preparation of technical reports, procedures, and programmes
n
Be customer focused and take a whole of company view in keeping with the company's values, codes, and standards.

What Makes You a Great Fit
n
n
Cert IV in Electrotechnology / Electronics / Telecommunications or Radio / telecommunications Trade Certificate
n
Solid relevant technical experience in a telecommunications or related industry
n
Sound knowledge of SCADA & Telecommunications installation, commissioning, maintenance and operations field practices and procedures
n
Advanced knowledge of DC Systems
n
Advanced knowledge of Telecommunications Technologies e.g. PDH / SDH / Radio / SCADA Systems
n
Advanced knowledge of Teleprotection Systems
n
Project, contract and maintenance management systems and tools
n
Advanced knowledge of engineering standards, regulations, and procedures applicable to the Section and Stream.
