We are looking for a External Sales Engineer to join the Sales Department within our Melbourne operations. Endress+Hauser Australia is made up of over 130 dedicated employees across the country, with our national office located in Sydney, Australia.

This role is a 12-month fixed term contract opportunity to support maternity leave cover.

Do you have a technical background in engineering and instrumentation, specifically in the Food & Beverage industry? Are you eager to use your expertise to drive sales and growth in new markets through collaboration? Which tasks will you perform?
n
n
Regular customer interactions via face-to-face meetings and phone calls.
n
Use C-360 (Salesforce) to plan and manage daily sales activities, including: Converting leads, managing opportunities from creation to execution, generating visit reports and maintaining sales forecasts and logging customer complaints in C-360.
n
Achieving sales targets and KPIs.
n
In-depth knowledge of product range, with technical understanding of features and perks, tailored to industry needs.
n
Strong understanding of market trends and industry sectors to identify new opportunities, specifically within the Food & Beverage industry.
n




Building strong relationships with the allocated Internal Sales Engineer.
n
Actively participating in internal meetings and training sessions.
n

What do we expect from you?
n
n
Appropriate tertiary qualifications in electrical and/or instrumentation disciplines from certificate to degree level.
n
English proficiency in verbal, written and intrapersonal situations is a pre-requisite for this role.
n
Have previous experience in a similar role with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
n
Instrumentation experience and product knowledge, preferably Endress+Hauser.
n
Ability to develop and successfully implement account plans, forecasts, reports and call plans.
n
Strong business acumen with the ability to make good commercial decisions and to think outside the box.
n
Computer literacy with working knowledge in all MS Office application and C-360 (Salesforce CRM)
n
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
n
Have excellent attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to follow through on tasks to completion.
n
Provide exceptional customer service, both internally and externally.
n
Are a team player who can collaborate effectively with others across departments.
n
Able to confidently present in group settings.
n
Based in Victoria, preferably Melbourne area
