Role Overview
n
Seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with strong hands-on detailed design experience in power, hydropower, or major infrastructure projects, with expertise in Balance of Plant (BoP) electrical systems.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Lead detailed BoP electrical design, including SLDs, cable sizing, protection, and technical specifications.
n
Design and review LV/MV/HV switchgear, transformers, generator feeders, DC and auxiliary systems.
n
Coordinate with suppliers, engineering teams, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
n
Provide hands-on site engineering support, inspections, NCR resolution, and commissioning assistance.
n




Review technical documentation and maintain accurate As-Built records.
n

Required Skills
n
n
Electrical/Power Engineering degree with 10+ years' experience in power plants, hydropower, switchgear, or heavy infrastructure.
n
Strong knowledge of LV/MV/HV systems, transformers, protection, grounding, and auxiliary power.
n
Robust understanding of Australian Standards (AS/NZS); NER registration highly desirable.
n
Proficiency in AutoCAD/Engineering Base, ETAP, and 3D/BIM tools such as Revizto.
n
Strong stakeholder management and technical problem-solving skills.
