Job Description
I'm currently partnering with a well-established Sydney-based construction company specialising in Class 2 residential developments, to appoint an experienced Estimator to join their growing team.

This is an office-based opportunity for an Estimator with strong Class 2 residential experience who is looking to take ownership of the estimating function and work across a strong pipeline of upcoming projects.

The Role
n
n
Prepare detailed cost estimates and tenders for Class 2 residential projects
n
Review construction drawings, specifications and documentation
n
Conduct quantity take-offs and detailed cost analysis
n
Source and obtain competitive subcontractor and supplier pricing
n
Prepare tender submissions, budgets and cost plans
n
Analyse project costs, variations and potential commercial risks
n
Work closely with Project Managers, Contract Administrators and the wider construction team
n
Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
n
Assist with procurement and value engineering where required
n
Ensure estimates are accurate, competitive and delivered within required timeframes
n

About You




n
n
5+ years' experience as an Estimator within the Australian construction industry
n
Solid understanding of construction methodologies, materials and subcontractor pricing
n
Strong ability to interpret architectural, structural and services drawings
n
Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness
n
Strong negotiation and communication skills
n
Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously
n
Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline is highly regarded
n
