Pacific Meat Sales is a family-owned business operating for over 25 years. Specializing in high-quality meat sales to a domestic and export market. Our focus is on Pork, Beef, and Veal, which are supplied through 5 different brands.
Located at our Thomastown site, we are seeking experienced maintenance fitters to join our Maintenance team. We are looking for candidates who are responsible, eager and are seeking a recent prospect on a full time basis. You will be available for site call outs when required, disassembling, repairing and reassembling machines, fault finding, writing reports and Inspections.
The Role
Preventative maintenance of machines on site
Repairing and fault finding on machines
Respond efficiently to breakdown conditions so as to minimise
equipment downtime
Maintain records of preventative maintenance tasks completed and
report any variations vs. plan
Availability for site callouts when required
Improve machine efficiency
Completion of daily line set-ups according to schedule and standard set-up procedures.
YOUR PROFILE
Mechanical Trade qualification
Meat industry experience preferred however not essential
Experience in TIG Welding preferred but not essential
Current Forklift Licence and/or Elevated Work Platform Licence desirable
Must be physically fit
Valuable understand and compliance of OHS in the workplace
Ability to use power and hand tools
