About the role

A Metal Caster role involving mold preparation, melting and alloying, mold and core assembly, and defect inspection on cooled castings.

Key responsibilities
Assemble, line, and prepare molds for production runs
Measure raw materials, operate furnaces, and monitor melt temperatures
Prepare die-cast molds for metal pouring
Perform visual and dimensional checks on cooled castings to identify shrinkage, porosity, or defects
Maintain a protected and compliant workshop in line with WHS requirements and company procedures
Work independently and as part of the workshop team to meet production schedules

About you
Related qualifications in Metal Casting or similar role
At least one year's experience as a Metal Caster
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
A high degree of accuracy with measurements
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable and well presented
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure

Job Type: Full time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
