Context This is a well-established manufacturing site in Brisbane looking for an experienced Plant Manager to lead its production operation through a period of growth and change.
This is a hands-on leadership role reporting to the General Manager, with accountability for maximising sales, minimising losses and expenses, and ensuring customer expectations are consistently exceeded.
You'll manage all aspects of the department's operations, providing strong leadership, technical guidance and skilled support to the estimating and project function, along with operational leadership to the production and manufacturing team.
The Role Manage department budget effectively, including identifying and delivering cost-saving initiatives and resolving operational issues Ensure administrative, operational and project documentation is completed accurately and in full compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements Continuously monitor the accuracy of costing forecasts, pricing structures and design databases to support sound commercial and operational decision-making Maintain oversight of departmental assets, plant and equipment, ensuring they're maintained to a high standard and remain safe and compliant Actively support the Sales team in developing new business opportunities, engaging with builders, developers, architects and key industry stakeholders,



including proactive follow-up of quotations Provide expert technical and commercial oversight of individual quotations and design solutions, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, engineering standards and business objectives Liaise professionally with clients, architects, engineers, builders and contractors across all stages of project delivery — from design and estimating through to production Oversee end-to-end project management from initial quotation through production to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget About You You're an experienced manufacturing leader with previous experience in a technical, made to order manufacturing environment.
You have run sizeable manufacturing teams - you must be comfortable running a site of 45 people.
You bring sound financial and commercial acumen, a track record of improving processes and driving cost efficiencies, and the communication skills to lead a team while liaising confidently with clients.
You must be based in Australia currently and have full Australian working rights to be eligible for this role.
