Job Description
ProQuest Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Quality Assurance & Safety Advisor to join a major project in Cavan, South Australia. This role is responsible for ensuring site safety, monitoring compliance, and supporting the successful delivery of the project while maintaining a safe working environment.

Certificate IV or higher in Work Health & Safety (WHS) is a mandatory requirement.
n This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong understanding of workplace safety, excellent communication skills, and the confidence to engage with contractors, site management, and operational staff.

Start Date: Monday
n
Project Duration: Approximately 4-5 weeks
n
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 4:00pm
n
Pay Rate: $60 per hour
n
n
Key ResponsibilitiesSafety & Permit Control
n
n
Monitor and verify Permit to Work (PTW) documentation before works commence
n
Ensure permits, sign-offs and approvals remain current and compliant
n
Conduct or verify daily pre-start meetings and toolbox talks
n
Maintain attendance records and safety documentation
n
Inspect site controls including exclusion zones, barriers, warning signage and pedestrian walkways
n

Auditing & Compliance
n
n
Conduct regular site safety inspections and risk spot checks
n
Ensure works are being completed in accordance with approved Protected Work Method Statements (SWMS)
n
Complete site audits and compliance reporting
n
Record observations, capture photos and maintain detailed daily shift reports
n




Assist with investigations into incidents, hazards and near misses
n
Escalate safety concerns to site management
n
Support corrective actions and continuous safety improvements
n
n
Safety Systems You will utilise SiteDocs for:

Pre-starts and toolbox talks
n
Safety inspections
n
Hazard and near miss reporting
n
Daily safety records and compliance documentation
n
n
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
Certificate IV or higher in Work Health & Safety (mandatory)
n
Current White Card (mandatory)
n
Minimum 12 months' experience in construction, warehousing, logistics or a similar operational environment
n
Strong understanding of Permit to Work systems and SWMS
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with English as your first language
n
Strong computer literacy and confidence using digital safety management systems such as SiteDocs
n
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously
n
A proactive approach to workplace safety with the confidence to engage with contractors and operational teams
n
Have or be willing to obtain a police check
n
