Vitalia's Italian Restaurant in Cairns offers authentic Italian cuisine including pizza, focaccia, panini, and a range of traditional lunch and dinner dishes.

Vitalia's Italian Restaurant is now looking for an experienced Waiter to join their team.

The right candidate will be responsible for:
Welcome customers, present menus and provide information about dishes, beverages and daily specials;
Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the restaurant’s ordering system;
Serve meals and drinks efficiently while maintaining qualified presentation and customer service standards;
Explain menu items, ingredients and preparation methods and assist customers with dietary requirements or special requests;
Set, transparent and reset tables before, during and after service;
Monitor tables throughout service and respond promptly to customer requests;




Liaise with kitchen and bar staff to ensure orders are prepared and delivered correctly and on time;
Process customer payments and accurately handle cash, card and electronic transactions;
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of dining areas, service stations and front-of-house equipment;
Follow food safety, hygiene, responsible service of alcohol and workplace health and safety procedures.

About you:
At least 1 year of experience as a Waiter;
Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills;
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant workplace;
Good organisation, attention to detail and time management skills;
Sound knowledge of food and beverage service procedures and responsible service requirements.

Job type: Permanent/full time
Salary: $68,000 - $75,000
