Full time, permanent | Curtin Bentley Campus Competitive remuneration package including 17% super On-campus amenities including a gym, medical centre, and childcare facilities Reference Number: ******* About the Role: Curtin University's School of Nursing is seeking a proactive and highly organised Administrative Officer to join our skilled team.
Reporting to the School Business Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the School's day-to-day operations and contributing to initiatives that advance its strategic objectives.
You will provide high-level executive and administrative support to the Head of School and School executive team, coordinate governance activities for externally facing boards and committees, and administer the planning and delivery of major school events involving key external stakeholders.
You will also contribute to a range of operational and special projects, ensuring administrative processes run efficiently and effectively.
This is a varied and rewarding role suited to someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment, builds strong professional relationships, and takes pride in delivering high-quality administrative support that enables the School to achieve its goals.
Your responsibilities will include: Provide executive and administrative support to the Head of School and School executive team including management of schedules, communications, travel and other administrative tasks as required Provide administrative support for the School's externally facing advisory boards and committees Support the Head of School with internal and external stakeholder communications on a range of platforms including the School of Nursing Linkedin page Perform a wide variety of general administrative duties in a timely and efficient manner Schedule, administer and support meetings and events for the school including venues, catering, correspondence and promotional materials Facilitate general purchasing and procurement in accordance with Curtin policies and procedures Providing administrative support for strategic projects and activities Actively contribute to the development, review and continuous improvement of administrative procedures within the school Who we are looking for (selection criteria): Relevant qualification and/or considerable experience in an administrative or office support role,
or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven experience coordinating the administrative requirements of a busy functional area, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities, maintain accuracy and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Advanced computer skills, with demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with well-developed interpersonal skills, cross-cultural awareness and the ability to communicate with diplomacy and professionalism.
Sound problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise judgement, use initiative and determine appropriate courses of action.
Ability to work independently while contributing positively as part of a collaborative team.
Desirable: Previous experience working in a university environment.
