Brightday provides financial advice and related services across investments and wealth creation, superannuation and retirement planning, wealth protection, budgeting and cashflow management, debt management and ongoing advice services.
The business operates within Brightday Group, a financial services group incorporating financial advice, funds management, licensing, adviser support and financial technology.
The business is continuing to expand its financial advice operations through organic client growth, client book acquisitions and ongoing investment in advice delivery, technology and client acquisition.
Position Overview Brightday Australia is seeking a motivated Investment Adviser (General Advice) to join our growing team.
The Investment Adviser (General Advice) forms part of Brightday's Advice function and provides general financial product advice and investment-related guidance to wholesale, sophisticated, corporate and retail clients within the employee's authorised scope.
Working under the Head of Advice, the position discusses investment and wealth-management strategies, explains financial products and superannuation options, interprets approved market and product research, and assists clients in understanding available financial options.
Where a client's enquiry requires personal advice, the matter will be referred to an appropriately authorised and registered Financial Adviser.




The role also undertakes analytical work to support senior advisers, including product comparisons, investment scenario analysis and strategy support.
The typical job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: • Provide general financial product advice to wholesale, sophisticated, corporate and retail clients regarding investments, superannuation, retirement products and wealth-creation options.
• Conduct client meetings to discuss investment matters, understand the nature of client enquiries and provide information and advice within the employee's authorised scope.
• Discuss general investment and wealth-management strategies, including asset allocation, diversification, investment timeframes, funding approaches, risk and return, and investment income considerations.
• Explain the features, benefits, risks, fees and characteristics of managed investments, listed securities, superannuation products and other relevant financial products.
• Provide guidance on general superannuation and retirement-planning matters, including contributions, investment options and relevant compliance considerations.
• Analyse investment products, market information and financial scenarios to support senior advisers in developing and reviewing advice strategies.
• Review and interpret approved investment, product and market research prepared by Brightday's Research team and other authorised sources for use in client discussions and adviser support.
• Assist with authorised transaction or execution-only activities, including facilitating client instructions relating to financial products.
• Monitor financial markets, investment products,



superannuation and regulatory developments and communicate their general implications to clients and senior advisers.
• Maintain accurate records of advice interactions and complete required warnings, disclosures, file notes and compliance documentation.
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the role: Qualifications Experience • A Bachelor degree or higher qualification in financial planning, finance, commerce, business, economics, accounting or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum three years' relevant qualified experience in financial advice, financial planning, banking, wealth management, investment advisory or a closely related financial services environment.
• Experience working directly with clients in relation to investment, superannuation, retirement planning, wealth management or other financial services matters.
• Experience supporting financial strategy development, reviewing investment or product information, and working with financial advice documentation or client records.
• Experience working within a regulated financial services environment.
Skills Capabilities • Strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Sound knowledge of investments, superannuation, retirement planning and wealth-management concepts.
• Ability to interpret financial, investment and product information and communicate complex concepts clearly to clients.
• Strong client relationship management and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple client matters and priorities.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements within an AFSL environment, with high standards of integrity and professional conduct.
