An excellent opportunity is available for an Orthopaedic Registrar / Principal House Officer (PHO) to join a high-performing regional surgical service in North Queensland.
n
This 12-month full-time contract offers strong operative exposure, structured supervision, and the possibility of extension for the right candidate.
n
You will work within a busy Orthopaedic unit providing care across:
n
n
Acute trauma
n
Elective orthopaedic surgery
n
Fracture clinic
n
Inpatient management
n
On-call roster participation
n
n
The position offers excellent exposure to a broad case mix within a well-supported team environment, making it ideal for trainees pursuing Orthopaedic Surgery or those seeking to strengthen their surgical experience.

Applicants Must Have

MBBS (or equivalent) eligible for registration with AHPRA
n
PGY3 or higher (onshore candidates preferred)
n
Demonstrated interest in Orthopaedics and/or career alignment with the specialty

Competent Authority pathway candidates with 1–2+ years orthopaedic experience

Doctors with prior surgical rotations seeking structured orthopaedic exposure
