Managing Director – Managed IT Services

Melbourne | Hybrid | $225,000 + super + up to $50,000 bonus | Equity chance

We're looking for a commercially driven Managing Director to take full ownership of an established and profitable Managed IT Services business.
This is a genuine MD role. Reporting directly to the CEO of the parent group, you'll own the strategy, P&L;, clients, team, go-to-market and growth plan. There is no layer of management between you and the owner, and you'll have the autonomy to make the decisions.

The ambition is significant: grow the business and triple revenue and EBITDA.
What you'll inherit
Established, profitable MSP with a loyal client base
Six-person engineering team, including three senior engineers
Strong culture and mature service delivery, SLAs and tooling
Finance and marketing support from the wider group
AI and automation already deployed across the business
Access to genuine cyber security expertise through the parent group
A new brand launching ahead of your arrival
Investment available behind a credible growth strategy

You'll be responsible for:
Building and executing the growth strategy
Personally developing pipeline and winning new MSP clients
Owning the P&L;, pricing,



margins and profitability
Developing the proposition and route to market
Growing revenue across the existing client base
Leading the engineering team and service delivery
Building referral, partner and marketing channels
Strengthening processes, automation and operational performance
Owning senior client relationships and major issues

What we are looking for:
We're looking for someone who has personally grown a business or significant revenue line and can demonstrate the numbers.
You'll need:
A proven track record of revenue growth
Ideally experience within an MSP
Solid personal sales and business development capability
Experience building and executing go-to-market strategy
P&L; and commercial ownership
Solid leadership and operational skills
A hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset
Confidence working autonomously and wearing multiple hats
A genuine interest in using AI and automation to improve how a business operates

An MSP or technology services background is highly desirable. Technical knowledge across Microsoft, Azure, networking, security and related services is beneficial, but commercial capability comes first.
