to spearhead its market expansion and strengthen its commercial footprint.
Role Overview
The
Commercial Director – Australia
will be responsible for defining and executing the commercial strategy in the Australian market. This role is critical to driving
sales growth, market share expansion, and customer success
. The individual will lead the commercial team, manage key customer relationships, and identify opportunities for new business development and partnerships.
The successful candidate will combine
strategic vision, hands‐on sales leadership, and deep knowledge of the packaging industry
with strong commercial acumen and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Define and implement the commercial strategy for Australia, aligned with regional and global business objectives.
Identify growth opportunities in key segments (food & beverage, FMCG, industrial, etc.), including new products, services, and channels.
Lead, mentor, and grow the commercial/sales team to achieve ambitious revenue and margin targets.
Drive key account management and develop long‐term partnerships with top customers.
Expand the customer base through proactive business development and market penetration.
Analyze customer needs, market dynamics, and competitor landscape to inform strategy and positioning.
Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to ensure value proposition fits the local market.
Work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure profitable growth and reliable delivery.
Align with the global/regional leadership team on pricing, sustainability initiatives, and product innovation.
Manage the commercial P&L; for Australia, ensuring profitability, sustainable growth, and cost discipline.
Monitor key KPIs (sales performance, margins, customer satisfaction) and report regularly to APAC leadership.
Qualifications & Experience
10+ years of progressive commercial/sales leadership experience in the
packaging industry
or closely related sectors (FMCG, manufacturing, industrial).
Proven track record in
P&L; management
, sales growth, and building high‐performing teams.
