Position Details
We're looking for a committed and enthusiastic Groundskeeper to join our Palm Lake Resort Hervey Bay team and help keep our resort grounds in pristine condition. This is a part‐time role, working a minimum of 25 hours per week in a hands‐on capacity to maintain our gardens, lawns and outdoor areas, ensuring they are safe, clean and visually appealing. Your work will be essential to ensuring the resort grounds are presented to a high standard for our residents and visitors year‐round.
Responsibilities
Hedge & tree trimming
Mowing, edging & whipper snipping
Control weeds and pests through the application of herbicides
Raking and blowing leaves, pruning and disposing of dying vegetation
Planting, mulching and maintaining flowers and shrubs, including watering and maintenance of irrigation systems
Oversee the outdoor presentation of all facilities, including BBQ & pool maintenance
Ensure all mechanical equipment and tools are kept in valuable working order




What We're Looking For
A C class drivers licence
Relevant gardening experience in a similar role
Qualification in Cert III Horticulture or equivalent is advantageous
ACDC chemical licence is advantageous
Ability to use equipment such as push mower, ride‐on mower, hedge trimmer, whipper snipper and blower
Possess the physical ability to undertake the requirements of the role, including bending, lifting and carrying
Initiative and the ability to work with limited supervision
