About The Role
n
We are seeking full-time Heavy Diesel Fitters to join our team at Goonyella. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
n
n
Carrying out repairs and preventative maintenance on the mobile fleet at Goonyella which comprises of Caterpillar, Komatsu and Liebherr mining equipment.
n
Carrying out repairs both in the field and workshop.
n
Perform inspections to determine condition and suitability to return to service.
n
Complete preventative maintenance such as inspections, servicing and adjustments.
n
Conduct timely breakdown related maintenance such as troubleshooting, repairs and replacements.

About You
n
n
Prior experience working on an open cut coal mine in QLD (essential)
n
Relevant diesel fitter / heavy vehicle trade qualifications or equivalent trade (essential)
n




Proven experience with Caterpillar, Liebherr, Hitachi and Komatsu mining equipment
n
High levels of initiative and the ability to work well under pressure
n
Safety focus with a high attention to detail to abide by site safety processes
n

Located in the Bowen Basin of Central Queensland, BMA's Goonyella Mine is one of Queensland's largest coal mines. It is situated approximately 30 kilometres from the town of Moranbah.

BUMA Australia provide labour, supervision, technical support and mobile plant to perform truck and excavator pre-strip operations.
n
