The Opportunity We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Gastroenterologist to join a supportive multidisciplinary team delivering comprehensive gastroenterology services to a large regional catchment population.

You will play an integral role in the ongoing development and expansion of gastroenterology services while providing high-quality patient care across inpatient, outpatient and procedural settings.

Clinical Responsibilities Include

Outpatient gastroenterology clinics
n
Upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy
n
Participation in the weekday gastroenterology consultation roster
n
Inpatient gastroenterology management
n
Teaching, supervision and mentoring of junior medical staff and medical students
n
Participation in quality improvement and service development initiatives
n

Essential Requirements Applicants Must Possess
n

Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) with advanced training in Gastroenterology, or equivalent specialist qualification
n
Specialist Registration, or eligibility for Specialist Registration, with AHPRA
n
Extensive experience in gastroenterology and endoscopy
n
Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence and quality improvementStrong communication and multidisciplinary team skills
n
Experience teaching and supervising junior medical staff
n
n
Applications are welcomed from Australian-trained specialists, New Zealand-trained specialists, and substantially comparable overseas-trained Gastroenterologists eligible for specialist assessment pathways.
