What you'll do:
n
The expectation isn't that you simply prepare the numbers and move on. You'll be encouraged to understand them, analyse them and look at how the finance function can work better.
n
You'll manage two direct reports and play a key role across the financial accounting function.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Supporting the month-end close, including GL and balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and journals
n
Preparing and analysing monthly P&L;,



Balance Sheet and Cashflow reporting
n
Analysing revenue accruals across clients
n
Managing statutory and compliance reporting including BAS, ABS, FBT,
n
Preparing and maintaining cashflow forecasts
n
Supporting treasury and cash management activities
n
Working with internal and external stakeholders across the organisation
n
Providing guidance and support to other members of the finance team
n
Identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls and reporting
n
n
Who you are
n
You'll be a CA/CPA qualified accountant with a strong financial accounting background and preferably with experience working in a complex, multi-entity organisation.
n
You will have managed previously; it doesn't need to be a big team. 1-2 people is ideal.
n
I'm particularly interested in someone who:

Has strong end-to-end financial accounting experience
n
Has worked across a complex or multi-entity workplace
n
Enjoys getting into the detail but can also step back and understand the bigger picture
n
Is confident analysing financial information rather than simply reporting it
n
Has strong Excel and data analysis skills
n
Can communicate comfortably with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
n
Wants to take ownership of processes and improve the way things are done
n
