We are currently seeking a self-motivated Painter to join our team. As a Painter, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces and applying paint, primers, sealers and other finishes to achieve high-quality finishes across a range of surfaces and environments. This is a full-time, permanent role based in Sydney, NSW.

Main Tasks
n
n
Inspect and prepare surfaces by filling cracks, holes and gaps, sanding, and smoothing imperfections.
n
Apply primers, sealers, paints, varnishes, and topcoats using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
n
Perform masking, taping and cutting-in to achieve clean and exact finishes.
n
Apply paint to walls, ceilings and other large surfaces using rollers.
n
Select and prepare paints, coatings and other materials as required.
n
Clean and maintain painting tools, equipment and work areas.
n
Follow workplace health and safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment.
n
Dispose of paint,



solvents and hazardous materials in accordance with safety and environmental requirements.
n
Work effectively with supervisors and onsite crew to complete painting works within required timeframes.

Required/Relevant Qualifications & Work Experience
n
n
Relevant Certificate III in Painting and Decorating; and
n
At least 1 year of relevant experience within the last 5 years, preferably in event production OR a minimum 3 years' experience may substitute the relevant Certificate III.
n

Required/Relevant Skills & Knowledge
n
n
Proven experience as a Painter, with expertise in the above-mentioned tasks.
n
Strong knowledge of painting techniques and surface preparation.
n
Ability to work with various painting tools and equipment (e.g., spray guns, brushes, rollers, sanders).
n
Attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship.
n
Physical stamina to stand, climb, and work in various environments for extended periods.
n
Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
n
Annual salary will be between $78,****** to $84,****** (plus superannuation) depending on level of experience.
n
