You must attach the following (as separate PDF files):

A brief cover letter, outlining why you are interested in a Teaching and Research position (no more than 1-2 A4 pages. Focus on quality of content, not quantity.)

Apart from describing your motivation to transition to a Teaching and Research position, you could also write about your recent achievements and plans. For instance, you could include:
n
n
Evidence of the quality and impact of your research, your capacity to acquire external research funding, the effectiveness of your industry and/or public engagement, and your contribution to the research culture of your department.
n
Research awards, commendations that you have received.
n




Research projects that you have undertaken in the last three years and outcomes that these projects have generated.
n
Graduate research supervisions and/or mentoring of junior researchers undertaken.
n
Your research plan and goals for the next 3-5 years.
n
A copy of your CV (no more than 10 pages)
n
Evidence of Dean (or equivalent) approval (email is sufficient)

Those academic staff members who are successful in being appointed under subclauses ***** and ***** may choose to revert to their previous academic profile, in which case the reversion will take effect from the next academic year or, where agreed by the Dean, at an earlier time.

Transitioned roles can thus continue indefinitely, but it is expected that the staff member will indicate clearly to their supervisor in their annual workload discussions that they wish to continue in the transitioned profile if this is the case.
