Job Description

Lead the design, architecture, governance, and architecture assurance of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data, and Automation solutions across enterprise technology environments.
n
Provide specialist architecture, design, and governance expertise to ensure AI solutions are secure, supportable, scalable, and aligned with approved architecture principles, technology standards, and governance frameworks.
n
Translate business opportunities into build-ready solution designs and work with stakeholders, delivery teams, architects, Cyber Security, technology teams, and implementation partners to support architecture, security, and governance approval processes.

Core Responsibilities
n
n
Produce and maintain architecture artefacts and design documentation, including business capability mapping, conceptual architectures, High-Level Solution Designs (HLSDs), Detailed Solution Designs (SDDs), integration designs, and operational support models.
n
Define technical solution patterns, secure integration patterns, reference architectures, engineering patterns, DevOps patterns, AI platform standards, and reusable architecture accelerators.
n
Prepare and support Design Review Forum, Architecture Review Board, security assessment, risk and control assessment, and other architecture governance submissions.
n
Design AI platform solutions across Azure AI services, AI on-premises capabilities, agent platforms, Copilot Studio, generative AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Dataverse, Power Platform, and related technologies.
n
Design cloud, infrastructure, networking, identity and access,



security control, data protection, integration, and operational support considerations for enterprise AI solutions.
n
Identify infrastructure dependencies, design risks, and recommended security controls, ensuring solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, and governance requirements.
n
Facilitate architecture workshops, engage business stakeholders, and work with Cyber Security, Architecture, infrastructure, and delivery teams to support solution design decisions.
n
Provide technical guidance across the AI portfolio and support delivery teams during project initiation and solution design phases.
n

Specific Skills, Qualifications, and Experience required for the Position
n
n
Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
n
Demonstrated Solution Architecture or Senior Technical Design experience within large enterprise environments.
n
Experience operating within mature architecture governance frameworks and preparing architecture artefacts and governance submissions.
n
Experience presenting solutions to Architecture Review Boards, Design Review Forums, and Cyber Security governance forums,



with the ability to produce build-ready solution designs.
n
Solid understanding of enterprise cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure, including identity and access management, networking, cloud security controls, integration architectures, platform governance, and operational support models.
n
Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, branching strategies, pull request governance, DevSecOps controls, and software engineering governance.
n
Strong understanding of networking and security principles, with experience in cloud architecture, infrastructure dependencies, security control mapping, data protection architecture, and operational support design.
n
Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills, with the ability to communicate technical architecture and design decisions to business and technology stakeholders.

Good to Have
n

Experience designing solutions incorporating Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Dataverse, SharePoint, AI Agents, LLM-based solutions, RAG architectures, vector databases, and AI orchestration patterns.
n
Practical design knowledge of Azure AI services, AI on-premises platforms, agent platforms, generative AI solutions, and AI governance platforms.
n
Experience defining reusable architecture patterns, engineering standards, integration patterns, DevOps patterns, and AI platform standards.
n
Experience supporting Safe & Secure by Design assessments, Cyber Security reviews, architecture governance, and risk and control assessments.
