Singh Curry House is a well-established and highly rated Indian restaurant located in Kallangur QLD. We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our team on a full-time basis.
n
As a Chef at Singh Curry House, you will be responsible for creating and preparing delicious Indian dishes, maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation, and ensuring a smooth and efficient kitchen operation. You will work closely with our kitchen team to develop current menu items and ensure consistency in taste and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes according to our recipes and standards
n
Ensure all food is cooked and presented to the highest quality and in a timely manner
n
Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ordering and restocking supplies as needed
n
Train and supervise kitchen staff, delegating tasks and ensuring a smooth and productive operation
n
Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and specials
n
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards at all times
n
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following proper cleaning and sanitization procedures
n




Managing stock inventory and ordering raw materials of high quality. Ensuring that the food is stored in temperature-controlled facilities.

Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulations
n
Costing menu items including costing of food and labour costs.
n
Work to resolve kitchen issues, listen to feedback and seek solutions in conjunction with fellow staff.
n

Requirements
n
n
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Chef in a high-volume restaurant
n
Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery/Kitchen Management is required.
n
Strong knowledge and experience in Indian cuisine
n
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
n
Excellent time management and organizational skills
n
Strong leadership and communication skills
n
Ability to work well in a team setting
n
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
n

Salary Package
n
$73,500 - $76,000 Plus Superannuation per annum.
