Salary: $85,000 plus superannuation per annum

Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable Welder to join their team in Altona North, Victoria.
n
Key Duties and Responsibilities
n
n
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications.
n
Perform welding using MIG, TIG, and/or ARC welding techniques as required.
n
Prepare, cut, fit, align, and assemble metal components for welding.
n
Operate and maintain welding equipment, tools, and machinery safely.
n
Inspect welded joints and finished products to ensure quality and accuracy.
n
Measure materials and components using appropriate hand and measuring tools.
n
Identify and repair welding defects, cracks, and other fabrication issues.
n
Follow workplace health and safety procedures, including correct use of PPE.
n
Maintain a clean and organised work area.
n




Work with different types of metals, including steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.
n
Complete welding and fabrication tasks within required timeframes and quality standards.
n
Report equipment faults, material issues, and safety concerns to supervisors.
n

Requirements
n
n
Certificate III or Certificate IV in Engineering – Fabrication Trade
n
At least 12 months of relevant experience as a Welder
n
Competency in MIG welding
n
Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and fabrication processes
n
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
n
Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
Understanding of workplace safety standards and safe work practices.
