About the role
n
Join our Sydney finance team as an Assistant Accountant and build strong foundations across core accounting processes. Reporting to the AU Finance Manager, you'll get hands-on exposure to reconciliations, journals, accounts payable, company card processing, month-end and year-end close, and audit support. It's a great opportunity for a recent Accounting graduate to turn your knowledge into practical experience and grow your career in a collaborative team.

What you'll be doing
n
n
Prepare bank reconciliations for all Australian bank accounts and month-end balance sheet reconciliations.
n
Prepare and post routine and month-end journal entries to keep the General Ledgeraccurateand up to date.
n
Assist with General Ledger account analysis during month-end close.
n
Process supplier bills and review entries in theaccountspayable ledger.
n
Process and review company card transactions, including reconciliations in the accounting software.
n
Assistwith transaction uploads and updates across the finance systems.
n
Support month-end and year-end close, including audit activities and ad hoc finance team priorities.
n

What you'll bring
n
n
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or aBusinessdegree with an accounting major.
n
Strong understanding of accounting concepts, with excellent attention to detail, soundjudgementand a focus on accuracy.
n
Strong Excel and accounting software skills; experience with NetSuite and/or Xero is highly regarded.
n
Previousaccounting experience through an internship or similar role is preferred; exposure to a multi-entity orgroupfinance environment is a plus.
n
Strong written and verbal communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team and under deadlines.
n
