About The Role
n
The Service Technician is responsible for delivering on-site water treatment service and technical support to customers across Brisbane, ensuring the safe, effective, and reliable operation of customer water treatment systems.
n
You Will Be Responsible For
n
n
Monitor and maintain chemical stock levels for cooling, boiler,
and wastewater treatment systems, including ordering chemicals and coordinating empty drum disposal.
n
Conduct routine sampling and testing of cooling and boiler water systems, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
n
Record test results and system data accurately in DrewTrax or other designated record-keeping systems.
n
Inspect, maintain, clean, and troubleshoot chemical dosing and monitoring equipment.
n
Build strong relationships with site maintenance teams through regular communication and support.
n
Collect and dispatch biological samples and perform cooling tower cleaning or supervise cleaning activities as required.
n
Install and retrieve corrosion coupons to support water treatment monitoring.
n
Identify and report water or chemical leaks, equipment faults, and other abnormal conditions.
n
Carry out equipment recalibration, reprogramming, and manual chemical dosing when required.
n
Maintain high standards of housekeeping, safety, and documentation across all site activities.
n

Key Competencies & Requirements
n
n
Demonstrates safe work practices and can identify hazards
n
Experience with boilers, cooling towers or both
n
Mechanical aptitude
n
Self-starter and ability to manage and priorities own workload
n
Demonstrated ability to undertake tasks of a repetitive nature
n
Good eye for detail
n
Good verbal communication and ability to liaise with customers
n
Potential to develop into account manager role
n
Ability to travel and current drivers' license
n
Trade certificate or degree in Chemistry/Science would be highly regarded
n
