This is not a caretaker role. This is a builder's role.

A brand-new hospitality precinct is taking shape at Poppet Head Plaza in Charters Towers — a 200-seat premium steakhouse and a 150-seat all-day cafe with drive-thru, set within a destination precinct designed to serve a catchment of 10,000+ locals and highway travellers. The designs are done (researched in the US, built by one of Australia's leading food consultancies).

What you'll own:
n
n
The end-to-end opening of both venues — steakhouse and cafe
n
Menu development, supplier setup, and operating systems from scratch
n
Recruiting, training, and leading the opening teams
n
Building a positive,



people-first workplace culture that attracts and retains the best in the region
n
Day-to-day operations once doors open — on the floor, not behind a desk
n

What we're looking for:
n
n
Proven venue opening experience — you've done this before, end to end
n
Proven people management — you've built, developed, and retained robust teams, and your people would follow you to the next venue
n
Strong across both cafe/coffee and full-service restaurant operations, including licensed service
n
A leader who works on and in the business — happy to run a service, pull a coffee, and jump on the pass when it counts
n
Comfortable with a regional posting — FIFO to start is on the table, with travel and accommodation covered
n
