Overview
JoinCity of Parramattaas aSwim Instructorat the Parramatta Aquatic Centre (The PAC).
The role focuses on delivering City of Parramatta's aquatic education and water safety programs with high-quality lesson content aligned with the program's goals and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Instruct lessons for students in water safety, water familiarisation, learn to swim and squads.
Plan and deliver lessons with an emphasis on safety and variety for participants.
Evaluate and adjust lesson plans to cater for the needs of the students.
Organise and monitor the condition of teaching equipment for each lesson.
Regularly assess students' progress.
Provide a customer‐oriented environment.
Promote teamwork and effective communication through collaborative work practices.
About You
The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching swimming and water safety.
No prior teaching experience is required.
Flexibility and willingness to work a 7‐day rotating roster across multiple facilities is also required.
Required Qualifications
Current Australian Swimming & Water Safety qualification
Current CPR Certificate
NSW Working with Children Check
Desired Qualifications
Experience in swim teaching/coaching at all levels from Infants to Squads
First aid certificate
Current Australian Teacher of Infant & Preschool qualification
Current Australian Teacher of Access & Inclusion qualification
Current Australian Teacher of Adult qualification
Current Australian Teacher of Competitive Strokes qualification
Pool Lifeguard qualification
