About the role

We're looking for a compassionate and skilledAlcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Practitionerto join ourFamily Reunification Program—a role that goes far beyond case management and counselling.
It's an opportunity to walk alongside parents and caregivers as they overcome substance use challenges and work toward rebuilding their families.

Reporting to the Intensive Services Manager, this is apermanent part-timeposition, 30.4 hours per week, based in Bendigo, VIC.
Compensation is in accordance withSCHADS Award Level 5.
You will successfully
Provide targeted, trauma-informed AOD assessments, counselling and case management to support family reunification goals
Be a steady guide for families in crisis—creating and implementing holistic case plans focused on children's safety, well being, and long-term development
Work collaboratively with Child Protection and other services to ensure parents are empowered, supported, and seen
Build trusting, collaborative relationships with clients to support self-determination and active participation
Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individual treatment plans in partnership with clients
Support access to external services and advocate for clients to build sustainable recovery networks
What we're looking for
Bachelor of Human Services, Master of Social Work, or a Diploma in Community/Health Services (AOD competencies or willingness to complete within 12 months required)
Has experience in AOD support, family services, or the broader social services sector
Communicates with empathy, writes with clarity, and advocates for those who can't always speak for themselves
Thrives in emotionally complex environments and remains calm under pressure
Embodies our values of respect, diversity, collaboration, and ethical integrity
A current Employee Working With Children's Check
Valid Victorian Driver's Licence
