Our client is looking to hire a Cardiac Electrophysiology Technician to join the cardiac catheterisation laboratory team, supporting a complex electrophysiology list on a permanent part-time basis.
n
About the Facility
n
A large private hospital on the NSW Central Coast, with two cardiac catheterisation laboratories, nine operating theatres and a dedicated heart centre providing diagnostic and interventional cardiac care to the region. The electrophysiology list runs three days a week, with no on-call requirement outside rostered days.
n
The Role
n
You will provide specialised technical support across a busy EP list, preparing laboratories and equipment, operating recording and mapping systems, and supporting
electrophysiologists
through diagnostic studies and ablation procedures.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Preparing electrophysiology laboratories for procedures, ensuring equipment is functional and calibrated
n
Operating and maintaining EP recording systems and haemodynamic monitoring equipment
n
Supporting
electrophysiologists
during diagnostic EP studies and ablation procedures (radiofrequency, pulsed field and cryoablation, SVT/VT, AF/PVI,



atrial flutter and PVC ablation)
n
Acquiring, analysing and interpreting intracardiac electrograms under physician direction
n
Maintaining inventory of procedural equipment, catheters and consumables
n
Complying with infection control and radiation safety standards
n
Contributing to quality improvement, audits and accreditation activities
n
n
What You Will Need:
n
n
Bachelor of Science or equivalent, with cardiac EP technician experience
n
Demonstrated experience in a cardiac catheterisation laboratory, EP laboratory or cardiac device service
n
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
n
Experience with EP recording/mapping systems (e.g. CARTO, EnSite, Rhythmia) is highly regarded but not essential - full training provided
n
Robust technical troubleshooting, communication and documentation skills
n
Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a complex procedural environment
n
Unrestricted right to work in Australia
n
