Financial Accountant (6-Month Contract) | Western Sydney | $130,000 - $135,000 + Super | Immediate Start | Technical Accounting Focus

About the Opportunity
n
An exciting opportunity exists for a technically strong Financial Accountant to join a large mult-entity organisation undergoing significant finance transformation and change. This role is ideally suited to a technically strong hands-on accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has strong experience across audit, tax, statutory reporting and technical accounting matters.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Support year-end external audit activities including acting as a key liaison for external auditors
n
Prepare audit workpapers, reconciliations and supporting schedules
n
Respond to audit queries and manage action items through to completion
n
Assist with preparation and review of statutory financial statements
n
Support technical accounting and disclosure requirements
n
Assist with income tax compliance and reporting
n
Support FBT calculations and lodgement processes
n
Prepare and review tax reconciliations and supporting schedulesLiaise with external tax advisors and stakeholders
n
Assist with year-end tax provisions and disclosures
n

About You
n
To be successful,



you'll be a technically capable accountant who can operate independently and confidently in a complex environment.
n
Essential
n
n
CA or CPA qualified
n
External audit background (Big 4 or Mid-Tier highly regarded) and/or strong technical industry experience supporting external audits,statutory financial reporting, and hands-on income tax and FBT reporting
n
Strong Excel skills
n
Experience operating within large, complex organisations
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities
n
Available to commence at short notice
n

Highly Regarded
n
n
Multi-entity group experience
n
Purchase Price Accounting (PPA) exposure
n
Treasury experience
n
Finance transformation or systems project exposure
n
n
