We're hiring aDesignerfor their Brisbane team to help shape the next chapter of our product.
This is a hands‐on, fast‐moving role for someone who lives and breathes trends, but knows how to turn them into pieces that actually sell.
You'll sit at the intersection of creativity and commerciality, working closely with Buying, Product Development, Planning, and Creative to deliver product our customer is obsessed with.
THE ROLE
As Designer, you'll be responsible for creating trend‐led, commercially robust styles that elevate the Beginning Boutique brand.
You'll own designs from concept through to handover, translating trends, data, and customer insight into collections that drive excitement, margin, and repeat customers.
This role is ideal for a designer who's confident in their point of view, thrives in a high‐volume environment, and loves collaborating to make great product even better.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Trend & market research
Stay tapped into trends across TikTok, Instagram, influencers, runway, street style, and competitors
Build and present monthly and seasonal trend decks to Buyers and leadership
Analyze bestsellers weekly to spot winning silhouettes, fabrics, and details
Identify missed opportunities and propose fast‐turn design ideas
Create cohesive mood boards and design stories that resonate with the BB customer
Balance proven core styles with fresh, forward silhouettes that push the brand
Design & product creation
Design original,



trend‐driven styles across your assigned categories each month
Create sketches, CADs, and partial tech packs for Product Development
Design or brief prints, placement graphics, motifs, and recolors
Design into approved fabric platforms with cost, quality, and brand in mind
Partner with Buyers to ensure designs hit commercial, pricing, and margin targets
Keep designs aligned with BB's increasingly elevated, aspirational direction
Cross‐functional collaboration
Work closely with Buying to build monthly ranges and meet deadlines
Partner with Product Development on samples, fit sessions, and execution
Collaborate with Planning to understand investment and performance opportunities
Support Creative and Marketing with styling direction and design‐led storytelling
Provide product info packs to Customer Care to help deliver an exceptional customer experience
Review samples for print scale, color accuracy, and overall execution
Provide clear, annotated feedback and updated CADs
Participate in fit sessions to ensure design intent is met
Keep all design documentation accurate and on time
Brand & customer focus
Design with the ***** customer front and center
Translate brand values into cohesive, aspirational product
Contribute to improvements in fit, quality, and consistency
Design responsibly, avoiding direct copies and prioritizing originality
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:




3‐6 years' experience in fashion or apparel design
Experience in a fast‐paced, high‐volume or eCommerce environment
Strong trend forecasting skills across digital and global sources
Advanced Adobe Illustrator skills and strong CAD capability
Solid understanding of garment construction, fit, fabrics, and trims
Experience working closely with Buying, Product Development, and technical teams
Ability to design within cost and margin parameters
Experience designing for young women's fashion ****** preferred)
Exposure to offshore sampling and supplier communication
Experience with prints, recolors, or artwork briefing
Understanding of sustainability considerations in fabric or material selection
