About the opportunity
n
This is a continuing teaching appointment, with an initial appointment into the Middle Leader position including Middle Leader Allowance, concluding at the end of the current triennium (December ****). Two subsequent three-year appointments with the Middle Leader Allowance can be offered subject to satisfactory performance in the position and the ongoing existence of the position.

As the Learning & Teaching Leader (Arts), the subjects you will oversee include the following:

Drama Year 7-12
n
Media Year 7-10
n
Art Year 7-10
n
Visual Art Year 11 & 12
n
Visual Art in Practice Year 11 and 12
n
Music Year 7-12
n
n
In this position you will be responsible for:
n
n
Leading the designated curriculum area(s) taught in the school
n
Applying contemporary learning and teaching research to classroom practice through professional development of teachers engaged in the area(s) of curriculum responsibility
n
Supervising and inducting teachers engaged in the area(s) of curriculum responsibility
n
Analysing student performance data and addressing areas of concern through appropriate interventions
n
Managing financial and material resources within the area of responsibility including the formulation of
n
budgets and the expenditure of allocated funds.
n
n
About you
n
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
n
n
A minimum of 5 years teaching experience
n
Developed work programs in alignment with national, state, and local requirements.
n
Driving the assessment and moderation process when developing new programs.
n
Leading and innovating within a specified curriculum area.
n
Stakeholder engagement fostering collaboration and transparency.
n
Having responsibility for a financial budget.
n
For this position you are not required to be Catholic.
n

Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers.
