Carbone Lawyers is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join our team in Melbourne. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers the opportunity to work in a agile legal environment. As a Legal Assistant, you will be responsible for providing essential support to our legal team and ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations. Your main tasks will include:

Assisting with legal research, document preparation, and case management
n
Managing client communications and appointments
n
Handling administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and maintaining records
n
Supporting lawyers in court preparation and attending hearings when required
n
Collaborating with internal teams to facilitate efficient workflow and client service
n
n




Desired Skills and Experience
n
You will have previous experience in a similar role with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively. You will also have:
n
n
Excellent knowledge of legal terminology and procedures, particularly within personal injury law
n
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
n
Proficiency in using MS Office and legal research databases
n
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
n
A keen eye for detail and the ability to produce accurate work under tight deadlines
n
An understanding of confidentiality obligations and the ethical standards of the legal profession
n
A proactive approach with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
n
