We are now seeking an
Assistant Accountant
to join our Corporate Finance team, supporting core accounting, reporting and month‐end activities across the business.
About The Role
Reporting to a Finance Manager, the Assistant Accountant plays a key role in supporting accurate financial reporting and control across Levande's operations. This is a hands‐on role suited to an early‐career accountant who enjoys working across the full record‐to‐report cycle and contributing to continuous improvement within a medium‐to‐large, complex organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting end‐to‐end month‐end close activities, from transaction processing through to variance analysis and reporting
Assisting with financial reporting in line with Australian Accounting Standards
Supporting taxation and corporate reporting requirements
Maintaining accurate general ledger reconciliations
Working with stakeholders across finance and the broader business to resolve issues and meet deadlines
Contributing to process improvement initiatives and system enhancements
About You
You are currently progressing toward professional qualification and bring a strong technical foundation, attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
Essential Experience And Capabilities
Working toward CA or CPA qualification (Australian certification)
At least 2 years' experience in accounting roles within a commercial workplace
Strong working knowledge of Australian accounting standards, taxation and corporate reporting
Demonstrated experience supporting end‐to‐end month‐end processes (R2R)
Experience working with medium to large ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365
Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency across the MS Office suite
Clear written and verbal communication skills, with strong organisation and attention to detail
Experience in a mid‐to‐large organisation
Big 4 Chartered Firm experience at Analyst level (for first‐mover candidates)
Exposure to the retirement living, property or property development sectors
