Approximately 2 months with potential for ongoing shutdowns.
WHAT WE OFFER
Casual Role:DIDO outage, located atCallide Power StationinBiloela, QLD, with potential for other project/outage work following on (Jul - Sep).
Project Dates:Start date from early to mid-April, running until approximately early June.
Roster:Monday to Saturday, Days/Nights, 11-hour shifts.
Other Benefits:Join a supportive team delivering Downers Callide outage.
LAHA or Accommodation is provided to distant workers.
THE PROSPECT
Downer'sEnergy & Utilitiesbusiness is seeking casualElectriciansto provide outage services at Callide Power Station in Biloela, QLD.
Starting in early to mid-April, Downer will offer mechanical and electrical project services throughout the outage period.
As anElectricianon site ensuring all work is completed safely, effectively, and to the required standards, your scope of work will include but not be limited to:
HV motor disconnects, inspection, basic testing, and reconnects
LV motor disconnects, inspection, basic testing, bearing replacement, and reconnects
DC - LV switchboard maintenance, cleaning, inspection, testing, and some component replacements
HV switchboards - visual inspections, Earth switch maintenance, & basic maintenance on the HV contactors & Circuit Breakers.
19.5kV Generator disconnects and reconnects.
ABOUT YOU




Site Proficient:Experienced in outages and projects in the power generation or heavy industrial sector preferred
Team Oriented:Have an ability to work effectively within a team with well-developed communication skills
Workplace Safety:Committed to the safety and wellbeing of yourself and your colleagues
Qualifications:Enter and work in confined spaces (RIIWHS202E), Working at heights (RIIWHS204E) (within 2 years), Construction white card
Qld Electrical Licence:as well as current CPR/LVR
