Job Description
We are currently seeking experienced Data Cabling Technicians to join a number of major projects across Canberra.
n These opportunities are available on both a labour hire and permanent basis, offering the chance to work on high-profile data centre and critical infrastructure projects in a professional, fast-paced environment.

About the Role
n
Working as part of an experienced project team, you will be responsible for the installation, termination, testing and commissioning of structured cabling systems across large-scale sites.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Installing structured data cabling, including Cat6/Cat6A and fibre optic systems
n
Fibre optic installation, termination, testing and fault finding
n
Working with MPO/MTP and high-density cabling systems
n
Installing and dressing cabling within racks, cabinets and data centre environments
n
Reading and interpreting project drawings, plans, specifications and scopes of work
n
Working alongside Project Managers, Supervisors and other trades to meet project deadlines
n
Maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality
n
Completing installation and testing
documentationWorking
within established site safety and HSEQ requirements
n
Communicating professionally with clients, supervisors and other site personnel
n
Identifying and resolving installation issues as they arise
n
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment
n

What We're Looking For
n
We're interested in hearing from experienced technicians who have a background in structured cabling,
telecommunications,
data centres or critical infrastructure.
n
You will ideally have:
n
n
Current ACMA Cabling Registration
n
Appropriate endorsements for Structured, Fibre Optic and Coaxial cabling
n
Experience working with Cat6/Cat6A and fibre
n
Previous experience within data centres, commercial construction or major infrastructure projects
n
A robust understanding of cabling standards, installation practices and testing requirements
n
Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
n
A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
n
The ability to read drawings and work from project specifications
n
Good communication and stakeholder skills
n
The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
n
A current White Card
n
