About the Role
We are seeking an experiencedMainframe Support Subject Matter Expert (SME)with deep technical expertise inz15 z/OS environmentsand niche mainframe systems administration skills.
This is ahands-on, customer-facingrole, responsible for maintaining mission-critical systems, delivering operational support, and ensuring system reliability in a 24x7 environment.
The ideal candidate will bring over a decade of experience in mainframe support, software migration, and maintenance, along with the ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Provideoperational and technical supportfor mainframe systems in az15 z/OS workplace.
Manage software maintenance, includingpatching and upgrading softwareusingSMP/E.
Perform operational monitoring, alerting, and tuning for system performance.
Support application teams and management with mainframe expertise.
Operate and monitor master console activities.
Conduct in-depth analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of incident/problem tickets.
Maintain and enhance middleware, scheduler, and batch processing systems.
Ensure security compliance throughRACFandNatural Securityadministration.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with technical teams and stakeholders.
Provide24x7 supportincluding shift work and after-hours coverage.

Mandatory Requirements




Australian citizenship(Baseline Security Clearance recommended).
Minimum 10 years' experiencein:
Supporting mainframe environments.
Mainframe software migration and maintenance processes.
Automation scripting usingSASandREXX.
z-platform and z/OS hardware and operating systems.
Application control in mainframe architecture, middleware, and tooling.
Batch technology from a support perspective.
